Bedfordshire FA Football Education Programme

This fully funded programme offers a high-quality education alongside football training and competitive fixtures.

Based at the brand-new Houghton Regis 3G facility, the academy provides Year 12 and 13 students with a unique opportunity to gain valuable qualifications in sport and physical activity while being fully immersed in a professional football environment.

Students will complete the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development, equivalent to three A Levels.

As the governing body for football in Bedfordshire, the FA is uniquely positioned to enhance the academic experience through practical football training and player development.

In addition to the core qualification, students will also gain the following additional certifications:

• FA Referees Qualification (enabling officiating in local football matches)

• FA Coaching Courses

• FA Safeguarding Children

• FA Introduction to First Aid in Football
